Push notification

A push notification is a pop-up interactive message on a mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.) sent by the owner or administrator of the application installed on the device.
It can be a news item, a notice of points accrual or withdrawal from the account, a promotion or a special offer.
It can be mass (the same for everyone), or it can be individual or group, aimed at a specific group of users selected according to criteria by the application administrator or marketer.

Push notifications can be sent at any time, immediately or scheduled for a specific time. The user does not have to be in the application to receive the push, the main thing is that it be installed on the device. Looks like a normal SMS message, may contain media content. It is not tied to a SIM card and phone number, but is tied to a specific application.
Push notifications can also be sent to Windows or BlackBerry operating systems, which have their own push notification support services.
This is a great marketing channel to communicate with users with high delivery speed, which depends only on the Internet network, and not on cellular coverage.

In loyalty programs, push notifications are used as a replacement for SMS messages. Unlike SMS, push notifications have more flexible settings, their own internal analytics for opening and reading, and also have a lower cost and can be included as a free service in the application developer’s subscription fee.
They are also used in loyalty management to notify the user about actions that occur with his balance, new unique offers, discounts, birthday greetings, deductions and accrual of points (cashback), application updates and business communication with the user.
Uployal recommends the push notification service as a universal feedback tool for customers using the loyalty program Uployal Loyalty
